¿Que es la energía fotovoltaica?

Generalmente el azul refleja en la tierra el color del cielo en los amplios campos de energía fotovoltaica. Pero hoy no vamos ha hablar de una energía verde o azul, sino transparente. Se trata de Rawlemon, quizás el desarrollo tecnológico más bello para la vista y el más atractivo para el bolsillo, porque es capaz de superar en un 70% a los paneles tradicionales, ya que aprovecha hasta el último rayo de sol, o de luna.
Rawlemon está concebido para concentrar la luz difusa y equilibrar el consumo de energía mediante la combinación de la estética, la eficiencia y la autonomía
Esta es la idea de su diseñador, el arquitecto alemán Andre Broessel, que ha sabido dar solución a los principales problemas de los paneles solares: su baja eficiencia, el mantenimiento y su posición fija. El proyecto nos recuerda mucho al de Vinci Energía, aunque aquí el diseño destaca de manera notable junto con su alta eficiencia energética, que además puede ampliarse también con un motor Stirling para generar energía adicional.
Energía fotovoltaica a cualquier hora
Con un diseño totalmente innovador, cuenta con una esfera transparente geométricamente perfecta que atrapa los rayos de sol y la luz dispersa, y los concentra sobre un panel híbrido fotovoltaico y térmico en una superficie reducida en el 25%. Con ello asegura generar energía fotovoltaica tanto con luz solar como lunar, así como con el cielo nublado e independientemente de las condiciones climáticas (con lluvia, viento o nubes). De hecho, en un día nublado genera 4 veces más energía fotovoltaica que un sistema tradicional.
Para aprovechar al máximo la potencia del astro rey, el panel está instalado sobre un sistema de seguimiento de doble eje (dual-axis), que permite rotar su posición a medida que el sol surca el cielo, para que la luz incida siempre en el panel.
Al posibilitar el uso híbrido del panel, y gracias al 99% de transparencia de la esfera, Rawlemon es capaz de convertir hasta un 70% más de energía fotovoltaica que los paneles solares antiguos, mientras que gestiona mucho mejor la rentabilidad de los excedentes hasta un 15%. Y eso no es todo, es posible utilizarlo de forma eficiente en cualquier lugar del planeta, no solo en la franja de los trópicos. Más eficiente en un 35% que los paneles fotovoltaicos tradicionales, el primer prototipo que construyó logró generar 150Kw por m2 en fachada.

Finalista del premio World Technology Network Awarrd de 2013, el proyecto ha llamado mucho la atención en el sector, y ya cuenta con más de 41.000 dólares en su campaña de crowdfounding, a la que puedes acceder a través de este enlace. Se trata del cargador solar Beta.ey, el prototipo más pequeño que han diseñado y que está orientado a la carga de teléfonos móviles, tablets y otros dispositivos.
Y es que este profesional afincando en Barcelona ha tenido en mente desde el principio su integración en los edificios, para hacerlos autosuficientes y producir energía fotovoltaica adicional. De hecho, en una reciente entrevista, explicó que instalar este sistema en un cuarto de la fachada sur del Burj Khalifa de Dubai permitiría generar 16,4 GW/h al año, lo necesario para alimentar la torre y aún le sobraría el 60% de energía, valorada en 1,2 millones de dólares.
